About

Welcome to my world!

My name is Mariell Felicitas, I am 24 years old and studying for a masters degree in Art History at Munich University. This blog is dedicated to my favourite topics: costumes, art and books.

I started sewing when I was 15 years old because I couldn't find a decent medieval dress and have been addicted to making things with my own hands since. Over the years I taught myself to sew, knit, crochet and style historical outfits and I particularly enjoy bringing my visual ideas to life in photoshootings.
Last fall I got my BA in Art History and Scandinavian Studies and I am dreaming of becoming a full-time costume historian one day.

My love for costumes of any kind, my studies and my personal projects merge into the life I always dreamed about. Usually I spend my days in my favourite library or in my "workshop" (meaning: my 25m² student's appartment), but when I am not, I enjoy travelling to museums and reenactment events with my friends. I wear vintage in everyday life - so if you meet a young woman in a library, wearing vintage from head to toe and carrying a large pile of old books: that might be me.

Feel free to ask me any question you have and please message me if you have any tips or know more than I do - I always appreciate constructive criticism!
Drop me a mail to geschichtsgewaender@gmail.com, you may write in german, english, french, danish or norwegian, but I will probably answer in german or english.
